Homeschool Planning Made Simple ... get the planning system created by a 25-year homeschool mom totally FREE (no strings attached)
For 25 years, I homeschooled my five children.
Managing a family while homeschooling is challenging, and I needed to come up with ways to simplify my life in every way possible. Homeschool planning and preparation took up a lot of time each week, and I needed some help.
Good thing I am a note-taker, because I stumbled across some amazing advice I’d written down from a speaker at a homeschool conference (and I wish I could remember who it was that shared this tidbit originally so I could thank her, but I don’t remember…but credit goes to her for the notes I took during her session at the conference years and years ago, because from that one idea I began to tweak and work out a way to make my family homeschool planning so much better.) Her tidbit of advice was to try and divide the work your child has to do for the homeschool year by the number of days you will be homeschooling.
And when I read that little note, I tried it out, began to make it fit our family bit by bit, and soon enough I had a way to plan every subject for every one of my five children for the entire school year all in one fell swoop. That’s how “Homeschool Planning Made Simple" began!
I’m the mom to five now adult children, all of whom I homeschooled from preschool through high school graduation. They have all graduated from college and are living their adult lives, working in their respective careers, building their families, and I am now a grandmother.
Homeschooling success for me equated to having all five of my children be adults by the time they reached adulthood. That was my end goal, my personal version of success as a homeschooler. What is your vision for homeschool success? I’d encourage you to ponder that question somewhat seriously. What’s your vision for homeschool success?
A big part of being able to accomplish my version of homeschool success hinged on my own time management. Five kids all doing different schoolwork, I was a very eclectic homeschooler, different sports and activities, growing in their talents and giftings and abilities, plus all the other things involved with raising a family was a lot to juggle. When I realized I wasn’t juggling all the things very well, I started trying out ways of stretching my time and adding some bandwidth into my daily schedule. You can probably relate.
And if I am totally honest, this was not only a game changer for me as a homeschool mom, but it was also more like a life saver. More than changing the game or tipping the scales in my favor when it came to time management, it all owed me the margin I needed to have in place so that I could homeschool all five kids all the way through high school. That was my big goal; this system allowed me to accomplish that goal.
Now, you may not plan to homeschool through high school. No pressure from me about that - not at all! But this way of planning did help me to get across the finish line for my homeschool goals, and I think it can do the same for you, too.
So, here's the thing.
I used this method year after year, and I ended up turning it into a product for homeschoolers. And I even made a cheesy webinar to explain how it works (here's what I mean by cheesy: I had a massive, allergy-induced coughing fit in the middle of the webinar...you know how they say authenticity is so important when you're sharing something on social media? I'm not sure it gets more authentic than this...and also, embarrassing to boot.)
I'd planned to price the webinar at $7, and every attendee would get the User Guide and Printable Worksheets PDF with their webinar ticket, along with any other content I've created as part of Homeschool Planning Made Simple. But the integration between Stripe and my website host has some sort of bug, and I decided to simply give the whole thing away and just leave a link to my donation page on "Buy Me A Coffee".
So, if you'd like this, come and get it!

It's super easy to access. On my website, JanLBurt.com, select "Webinar" on the menu and voila! You register and then it's all yours. (Of course, if you discover any other glitches with the webinar option on my website, please let me know because it's a very new feature and the bugs are not entirely worked out...hence the reason I can't get the payment form to connect with the autoresponder...blah blah blah.)
Also, feel free to share this post with your homeschool friends. The "Buy Me A Coffee" thing is just an option, there is no pressure, no strings attached, none of that stuff. Yes, I'd love a coffee. I'll never say "NAH" to a coffee. Especially not if it's a Honey Latte from Il Primo here in Wichita...but I digress. It's free for all the homeschoolers out there in the blogiverse.
Happy Homeschooling!
