They seem to be everywhere these days, so it's pretty easy to feel overwhelmed by e-books. Some people find them hard to read, especially on a laptop. And even a Kindle lacks the feel of a good old-fashioned book in your hand. There's something about physically turning the pages of a book that is immensely satisfying to me!
But we do live in this modern era, and electronic books are part of life in 2013. I'm a little picky- choosey about which e-books I read, mostly because I really do prefer bound books. So when I find a keeper, an e-book that really needs to be read, I get a little excited.
I have found one such book.
It's titled, "The UnWired Mom ~ Choosing to Live Free in An Internet Addicted World" and was written by Sarah Mae.
First, if you haven't heard of Sarah Mae, you need to check her out. Especially if you are a homeschooling mother. She's the real deal, ladies, and she speaks the hard truth that we moms need to hear. But she does it with huge doses of encouragement and lifts you up rather than tear you down. Find her here ~ SarahMae.com
This new e-book is full of straight talk and hard truths that busy moms need to hear. We really do get just one chance at this mothering thing, and each day only comes around one time. With smart phones and laptops and iPads we can be connected to everyone BUT our kids all day long. Ever sit down for "just two minutes" and realize two hours later that you never even thought about your children for that entire time? Well, that is not right - and I'm pretty sure we all know it isn't right.
So get this e-book, read it, get some moms together and do a small group, hold each other accountable, and get back to living the real life that's happening in your own home. The life God planned for you.
Visit SarahMae.com to buy "The UnWired Mom" or find it at Amazon
Have a blessed day, my fellow mothers, and be sure to unplug and enjoy the family God has given you!
Day 269 done :)
