( It has been 14 years since I was a high schooler myself, so for me I am going back to school) <br /> <br />However, things have changed since I was in school. They require so much more from our kids. Still, I managed to get in and do very well without all of the classes our kids today take. This of course makes me wonder what is really needed. I have been told just focus on topics of interest, reading, writing, and math because anything else they will need they will learn in college. I am not sure, but that is why I love websites like LetsHomeschoolHighschool.com as well as finding blogs like this one because it lets me see how others are doing it. It is different with girls. I remember my dad saying I needed to be able if I married one day, but if something happened to my husband- to care for my family. That influenced my career. Without seeking Him I can get quickly worried about the girls' future.
